Target Audience

This CME meeting series is designed for hepatologists, gastroenterologists, infectious disease specialists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and pharmacists currently treating patients with chronic hepatitis C.

Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants
should be better able to:

  • Identify the effect of DAA class, treatment duration and medication selection on SVR in patients with and without RAVs
  • Describe the patient populations for which RAV testing is appropriate and understand the different methodologies available
  • Describe strategies for on-treatment surveillance and management to detect resistance early
  • Analyze approved and emerging treatment regimens in order to define strategies to minimize the impact of RAVs during retreatment
